How we work
It’s easy for physicians to help us.
We realize that not all physicians are able to commit the time and resources to conduct clinical studies but that you want to give your patients access to the benefits of participating in clinical research.
That’s why Synexus makes it as easy as possible for you to help us find suitable patient volunteers.
We all benefit from our relationship.
We focus on developing mutually beneficial relationships with physicians so that your patients can gain access to clinical research without you having to spend time managing the study. Your patients benefit from increased medical care and potential relief from their conditions. The conduct of the study is not the responsibility of the physician, so the impact it has on the workload of your practice is kept to a minimum. With your cooperation we really are able to move medicine forward.
The process is simple
Through our years of experience we have continually refined our processes in working with our partners.
Synexus is commissioned to deliver a new clinical study and obtains all appropriate ethical approval.
Synexus Clinical Relations Team liaises with partner practices to obtain agreement to participate in the clinical study.
Physican partners search their database for appropriate patients. These are generally basic searches, based primarily on gender, age and medical condition.
Your patients are sent an ethically approved letter introducing them to the study and asking them to contact Synexus should they be interested.
Patient choice is integral to the process. After all, it is the patient who decides to contact Synexus directly should they be interested in study participation.
If a patient is accepted onto the study, we will ask you to confirm your patient’s medical background, and you will be compensated for time spent doing this.
Any relevant test results are communicated with the physician's practice.
